Metta Up and Down

Welcome, dear readers, to another month of taking metta off the meditation cushion and out into everyday life.

Last month found me in the run-up to volunteering for a global disclosure conference in “Metta’s Testimony.” This month had me digesting what supporting next-level truth tellers from the wings taught me.

The afternoon before the Galactic Spiritual Informers Connection (GSIC) conference started, we volunteers were invited to get to know one another, organize the merchandise booth, familiarize ourselves with the ticketing, scout the premises, and run through the timetable and logistics for the next three days.

The production team had only just flown in from abroad and were still bleary-eyed from jetlag. Nearly a third of the volunteers had helped the previous year and were excited to see one another again, which helped us newbies settle our nerves about the long and packed days ahead. Clearly, they’d enjoyed themselves enough to want to return, and on the first day it became obvious how many guests were returning too.

After slowly coming to terms with the fallout from whistleblowing three workplaces in the last year myself, my heart secretly rejoiced at finding myself somewhere celebrating truth rather than sweeping it under the carpet for a change.

The conference’s key note speaker was David Icke, a British writer who has endured some 30 years of ridicule for what his 20 self-published books expose. I listened to both his presentations and panel discussions with an open mind and heart, delighted by how funny and humble he is in person given how often the media portrays him as angry and unhinged. What endeared me to him most, however, was when he credited Cathy O’Brien with opening his eyes in the 1990s with the publication of her book TRANCE Formation of America: The True Life Story of a CIA Mind Control Slave (Global Trance Formation Info 1995).

Last month’s article shared why Cathy is such a heroine of mine too, and how the child trafficking survivor community is growing into a sangha of sorts. It was lovely to catch a glimpse of disclosure’s lineage as well, and discover just how many of the so-called conspiracy theories both Cathy and David were already voicing some three decades ago are now considered mainstream facts thanks to their courage and persistence.

Cathy summed her presentation up with this heartfelt wisdom: healed survivors aligned with the divine will be the ones to save the world, as they are living proof of what the powers-that-were planned to inflict on all of humanity . . . and failed.

A case in point followed shortly after, when survivor Max Lowen whistleblowing on the tunnels under the Vatican had to present via Zoom as the Italian authorities refused to let her attend in person.

On the second day, I was assigned to Tony Rodrigues’s meet-and-greet session. He’s a newer voice in disclosure circles sharing memories he recovered being abducted into secret space programs. I’ve listened to several of his interviews over the last decade with interest, and always found him to be both believable and sincere even if the experiences he shares are unbelievably shocking. He now uses his memories to recreate the technology he witnessed for the benefit of humanity on Earth, and teach anyone who wants to learn the remote viewing he was trained for during his missions.

Probably the least known of the speakers at the conference and not having presented yet, Tony’s line was the shortest in the room. This gave him more time to interact with each guest. Listening to his thoughtful responses from the wings that hour unexpectedly taught me more than all three days put together.

Some just wanted to say hello in person as students of his online remote viewing classes, some wanted him to sign copies of his books, but most wanted advice on confusing memories that were surfacing for them. They were tentatively voicing their dawning suspicions—possibly for the first time out loud—that they too may have been abducted for secret space programs, and didn’t know what to do.

Looking up to see Cathy O’Brien chat and take photos with an endless line of guests at the next table, I felt such respect for Tony and his responses as it dawned on me in that moment that I was witnessing the next wave of disclosure on the horizon. With the release of the Epstein files, most people are now aware that child trafficking exists. Imagine having to come to terms not only with being trafficked, but off planet!

These were not attention-seekers, but very hesitant and traumatized truth seekers. Tony’s advice? That when memories were ready to surface for the first time, they tended to bottleneck, which is why they could feel so powerfully overwhelming and hard to articulate. The best thing to do was to only spend maybe 15–30 minutes first thing each morning recalling the minute details of a single memory—like you might with a dream—and then start placing them on a timeline to help order them like you might a photo album. For every memory “captured,” a new one could surface until a bigger picture emerged. He was neither confirming nor denying their suspicions, just gently empowering them to seek truth for themselves alongside offering free hugs to anyone needing one. From the wings, I generated metta too that we may all be free—on and off planet.

It struck me how similar this approach was to both meditation practice and nervous system regulation. When I practiced vipassana, I was taught to scan my body and observe sangkaras surfacing for release. Currently with somatic exercises, I am learning to imagine my nervous system as a swimming pool jam-packed with beach balls representing different traumas. By aiming to increase capacity—in other words, the volume of the swimming pool—my nervous system can then naturally titrate those traumas ready to surface to float to the top without overwhelm.

When a guest point-blank asked Tony why he was still alive considering all that he was disclosing about off-book government experiments and corporations, he explained the paradox of his disclosure keeping him alive: his memories of space were making many very nervous, but they were also some of the most accurate back-to-the-future descriptions of the technology-to-come available. An unnamed source confirmed to him that apparently there is a copy of his book on every desk in the Pentagon! He joked that fundamentally, the powers-that-were were doing their level-best to warn humanity, “Don’t look up!” both literally and figuratively.

I smiled to myself remembering B. B. King’s song “Better Not Look Down” played at the end of the film Thelma & Louise as they drive off a cliff together into the Grand Canyon.

And so, dear readers, whatever direction you’re currently seeking truth in these confusing times, please remember to most importantly seek it within, preferably with as much metta as you can muster for both yourself and everyone else attempting to do the same. You never know who you may inspire to speak their truth, too.

Or to metta-morphose B. B. King’s “Better Not Look Down:”

I’ve been around and I’ve seen some things
People moving faster than the speed of sound
Faster than the speeding bullet
People living like Superman
All day and all night
And I won’t say if it’s wrong or if it’s right
I’m pretty fast myself
But I do have some advice to pass along
Right here in the words of this song

Better not look down
If you want to keep on flying
Put the hammer down
Keep it full speed ahead
Better not look back
Or you might just wind up crying
Metta can keep it moving
If you don’t look down
