UNIOR is Italy’s premier higher educational institute for the study of not only Asia, but of the Buddhist tradition. Its main specialty, thanks to Prof. Chogyal Namkhai Norbu’s (1938–2018) establishment of Tibetan studies at the university, is mainly in Vajrayana Buddhism. However, in recent years it has expanded on this foundation of knowledge and built a reputation for quality studies and research into Buddhism in Central Asia and Inner Asian history.

Interested participants can register for the lecture series by emailing: [email protected].
