Paṇīta (adj.) [pp. of pa+neti in same application BSk.; cp. Divy 385] 1. (lit.) brought out or to, applied, executed; used with ref. to punishment (see paṇeti daṇḍaŋ) Pv iv.166 (˚daṇḍa receiving punishment= ṭhapita -- sarīra -- daṇḍa PvA 242). -- 2. (appld) brought out or forth, (made) high, raised, exalted, lofty, excellent; with ref. to food (very often used in this sense) "heaped up, plentiful, abundant."
