Bodhirājakumāra Sutta

Records the visits of the Buddha to Prince Bodhi (1) and the discussion which ensued.

The Buddha refutes Bodhi's view that true welfare comes only through unpleasant things, and declares that if a monk has confidence in the Buddha and also the necessary qualities of head and heart, he can master the Dhamma without delay. M.ii.91ff.
